Frames: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

The Good

Frames allow you to keep one area on your page static - like the border at the left
Frames allow you to bring several pages/documents onto one page screen
Frames reduce the amount of coding, by not having to recode a border or title that will remain visible on all pages.

The Bad

Frames can cause your page a longer time to be loaded than using a table
Search engines may not bring your entire page to the searcher (by giving the page and not the frame control page)

The Ugly

Frames can make your page ugly if scrollbars appear all over between frames
